The letter would read:

Dear Mommy,

I am not afraid.

I am warm and safe, just like when I was with you.

I love you, I love you so much and I want you to know everything is okay.

Grandpa and I are always playing games, like the ones you use to play when you were little. He even reads me stories after I sing the special song: “Tell me a story, tell me a story, before I go to bed!”

There are so many babies and kids who have mommies and daddies on earth like me, and we love to watch our parents, and we especially love to brag about them. You are all so incredible.

Did you know I kiss you every night? Before you go to bed I give you a kiss, just like you do to my urn. I love to kiss you and lay there with you. You’re so beautiful mommy, thank you for your beautiful hair. My hair is so long and curly now, just like how you picture it.

I also want you to know that when you cry I sing to you, I sing your favorite song as many times as I need to, until you stop.

I have a tool belt that I walk around in and try to find things to fix so I can be just like Daddy. You both me make so proud, everything you do, I watch in admiration.

Don’t be afraid mommy, I will always be with you.

I am taking good care of my baby sister while she is in your belly, I am making sure she makes into your world alive.

I can feel how much you love me, I can feel it everyday day and I never feel alone because of it.

Thank you for taking care of me when I was with you. I love you so much.

                                                 -Maya

                 P.S.

                   It’s okay momma, I promise.

If your baby could you write you a letter from wherever she/he is, what would that letter say?
